Beach House is an attempt to elevate the often-overlooked space of a house: the bathroom. As a showroom for Roca’s products, it embodies EDGE’s experiment to bring wellness to a bathroom. Innovative functionality, combined with an homage to the relaxing Mediterranean lifestyle shown in Roca’s newly-launched ONA series, is designed on the scale of a typical master bedroom ensuite in high-end residential developments in Hong Kong.

A series of white stucco walls with rounded edges is placed below a V-shaped ceiling of patterned mesh. Beach House is spatially arranged in three zones sequentially: entering from the central foyer with a comfortable single seater in the middle; the dry zone with basin and toilet on the left; and the wet zone with bathtub and shower on the right. This zoning clearly defines the functions of each zone, and the foyer in the middle provides a buffer zone for leisure between the two more functional areas, where users can settle themselves before and after using the bathroom, whether by getting undressed or even having a drink.

With the support of the Moorgen Smart Home System, it allows different scenario settings to fit various functions and ambience. Dimmable LED light walls, venetian blinds, and music through the speaker are controlled by a switch on the wall. Users can immerse themselves in a warm sunset vibe or moonlit night time inside the bathroom.
